Common questions before booking.
How much active participation is expected?
A great deal. Most of the workshop is hands-on, and participants work at their own screen throughout. However, nobody is forced to present or singled out: contributions can be verbal, written, in the meeting chat or made in pairs.
What is the standard format?
The flagship workshop is 3.5 hours for up to 15 participants, including a break, and runs through four parts: using AI where it genuinely helps, checking what comes back, working within safer boundaries, and building something the team can reuse. A six-hour full-day format adds deeper practice and further workflow development.
Is the workshop suitable for mixed ability?
Yes. It assumes no specialist AI knowledge, and works for people who have never used an AI tool as well as those using one daily — because each method is applied to the participant's own task rather than a fixed example.
What do participants need to bring?
A laptop with access to an AI tool, and one or two realistic tasks from their own role that they would like to work on during the workshop.
Do participants need paid AI accounts?
Not usually. Free or existing organisational accounts are sufficient for most formats. Demonstrations may use widely available tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, and the workshop teaches transferable habits rather than one vendor's product.
How is confidential information handled?
Participants are instructed not to use confidential, personal or otherwise sensitive data in exercises. Where a real task involves sensitive material, the VAULT framework is used to work out what must stay out of the tool before anything is entered.
Can it be delivered remotely or in person?
Both. Remote delivery is via Teams or Zoom. In-person delivery is available for an agreed premium plus travel and accommodation. The structure and outputs are the same either way.
Can our own policy and scenarios be included?
Yes, where appropriate and agreed in advance. Exercises can be adjusted around your tools, risks and existing guidance. Additional preparation or substantial customisation may affect the fee.
Is this legal or data-protection advice?
No. The workshop provides general awareness and practical workplace guidance. It is not legal advice, a formal compliance assessment or a substitute for advice from legal, data-protection, cybersecurity or regulatory specialists, and no compliance outcome is guaranteed.
What does the organisation need to provide?
A suitable room or online meeting platform, agreed participant access, a main organisational contact, relevant contextual information where tailoring is requested, and confirmation of any restrictions on the use of public AI tools.
